The land where I live is so beautiful that every corner deserves to be shared with visitors.
My name is Sara Grinzato and I’m a passionate art historian and licensed tourist guide, registered in the National List of Tourist Guides in Italy (guide-turistiche.ministeroturismo.gov.it/tour-guides).
I design and lead personalized tours of the city of Venice and the Venetian villas.
I hold a Master’s degree with honors in Art History and Conservation of Artistic Heritage from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (2009). I then completed postgraduate specialization in Art History at the University of Padua. In 2011, I obtained a diploma in painting and polychrome sculpture restoration at the Veneto Institute for Cultural Heritage in Venice. As an independent researcher, I focus on the artistic expressions of the Veneto region, with a preference for the 17th and 18th centuries (unive.academia.edu/SaraGrinzato). I have also gained extensive international study experience, particularly in Madrid, Berlin, and London.
Since my student years, I have worked as an educational operator with major museum institutions, including the Civic Museums of Venice and several important Venetian villas. I am a member of several local guide associations committed to promoting the city, with a particular focus on high-quality and sustainable tourism, including the Promoguide Association (bestveniceguides.it/guida/sara-grinzato). I have published numerous essays and books on Venetian art, including a guide to the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica for children. I also run a restoration studio that carries out work on many painted artifacts owned by both public and private entities, including museums and churches in the Venice and Padua areas (www.restauro-dipinti.it). My work also involves broad-spectrum conservation and exhibition setups in Italy and abroad.
For special visits, for specific requests, for a tour in unusual places, but also to give a guided tour as a gift to someone, feel free to contact me.
We can plan the best experience together!
